Sitges

For TikisMikis , 14/11/2008 8:39 pm

This past September 2008, I had the opportunity to visit once more a place that fascinates me, Sitges. I love the old town, with its steep streets empredadas, I love walking in the shopping area, and around the Church which presides over one hand the people and other sea.

Sitges has interesting places to visit if you are interested in culture, highlights the Maricel Palace with its museum and the museum Cau Ferrat. Also worth visiting the marina at night, has a special charm.

Where to Stay

Sitges has a number of facilities equipped to accommodate visitors, are held in the promenade, within the town, modern, classic, expensive and cheap, in short for all tastes. If you want a site with a special charm in a place nice and quiet, I recommend the hotel " Dolce Sitges "belonging to the resort hotel chain" Dolce . " It is located on the outskirts of Sitges, in a residential area, so have that to access the drive or use the bus service provided by the hotel.

Restaurants

In Sitges restaurants supply is plentiful, so you will have no problem finding one that suits your budget. It is best to ask the people who live there, or in the stores on which restaurants to eat and so will you assure that you will not "stick a stick", or at least intentais.

Restaurant "Frigate"

Situated on the promenade, Frigate is the restaurant that is adjacent to the stairs coming down from the church, has no loss. Mediterranean food. I recommend the "salmorejo, warm salads, and meats and grilled fish. They have a good cellar. Recommended for dinner.

Restaurant "Bianco"

Bianco is a small restaurant with modern decor. Recommended to eat menu of the day and well priced. Situated on the promenade and has an outdoor and indoor.

Restaurant Cafe de la Plata

Cafe de la Plata , is a restaurant on the marina in a charming area of Sitges, near the hotel Melia Sitges. Not too expensive, and if you order the tasting menu will leave "doblao" ultimately for hungry stomachs. Dinners are enlivened with music, which is always omnipresent in the Cafe de la Plata.

In short Sitges is a place I recommend, because I just love it.
