Ibiza has a something special (as the song referring to another Spanish city), it is not surprising, since the first time you get to the island did not you imagine it that way. At the moment there is a lot more vegetation than it can be for example the Greek islands (in particular those belonging to the Cyclades), the buildings are small and typically Mediterranean, we are an island charm

Sunset in San Antonio, Ibiza
There is an urban legend that says that if life on Earth ended, Ibiza would be the last bastion of life. I do not know if it has scientific basis or it is simply those things that people say to increase the idyllic atmosphere of the island. In any case it is worth knowing, to be prepared.
Many people associate Ibiza night, the macro discos and parties until dawn beyond. Well, that depends on two factors: The first is the area of the island where you move, and the other is the time of the year in which the visit.
My intention in writing this guide is to describe what I saw and felt during my visit to the island from a different viewpoint. Looking for a guide to partying in Ibiza, is not the item that you see, try Google.
When to go
Before visiting Ibiza you have to raise that kind of tourism you do on the island, since according to this you will have to visit some other areas of the island or in a time of year. We visited in late May, just before starting "openings" of the big clubs, so in general everything was pretty quiet.
Everything begins to "collapse" when the month of July and lasts until September, so the month of June is also a good option if you want some peace. As I discussed during the months of July, August and September, the island multiplied by 10 (yes, ten), its population. Imagine, for the rest of the year its population of about 110,000 inhabitants.
A brief tour of the island
To reach the island you have two tracks, not more, by the airport by air or sea port, in both cases you are in Eivissa (Ibiza). You can arrive by sea to other parts of the island but is most common. I recommend you rent a car upon arrival, it is best to explore the island and to move around the places you are going to recommend.
Ibiza has several significant urban centers, one of them is Eivissa (Ibiza) which is the capital, and another is Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio) located at the other end of the island (you can "play" with the google maps and localize it is very easy), no more than 10 km between them. There are other places worthy of interest such as Santa Eulalia des rius (Santa Eulalia del Rio) who much quieter and there will be no more than 10 minutes drive to it.

Cactus by the sea, San Miguel, Ibiza
To tour the island you have to take into account that there is a road that runs along the coast completely, and that there are places worth visiting, these are what I recommend you:
- Santa Eulalia
- San Antonio
- San Miguel
- Sant Joan
- Ibiza
You should not go to Ibiza without ...
There are two things you must do inevitably, in my view, before you go to Ibiza. One of them is seeing a sunset and the other to visit the Café del Mar . If you visit the Café del Mar, at the time of the sunset contemplate a sunset beaten.
To visit the Café del Mar, go to San Antonio, if you arrive from Ibiza to the port and taking the sea front, you go right along the harbor, until the track is just for running with the vehicle. At that time trying to park the car because you can not get on it. You'll find the tour continues up a ladder to the right, pursue it and in about 5 minutes on foot will find it. It's easy to get there. I recommend you go soon before sunset, because then it is packed, and finding a place is complicated. A mojito, helps pass the time ...
Another incredible sunset, which is what you see in Cala Comte , the view is as spectacular as San Antonio, the famous know very well, and have their houses, over there. The beaches of Comte, who named the place so you have to locate, are a great place to watch sunsets. From San Antonio you should take the road to Puig des Rocar, then take the road to Cala Comte that takes you to the beach. Worthwhile.

Sunset from Cala Comte, Ibiza
Do not think that this is the only thing worth seeing and enjoy Ibiza, there are many more things, which we reported in this travel guide.
By visiting the places you recommend to go make sure you remain as you found them or even better if you are posible.Gracias.
